NFL inactive list, Week 17: Dolphins vs. Patriots

The lists of inactive players are out for Sunday’s 4:25 p.m. ET contest between the New England Patriots and Miami Dolphins. New England tight end Rob Gronkowski is active after missing the last five weeks with a forearm injury.

The Miami Dolphins head to the cold of New England to take on the Patriots in Week 17 and while the Dolphins have been eliminated from playoff contention and the Patriots have already secured a playoff spot, they have plenty to play for in the final week of the regular season.

Depending on their outcome as well as other games around the league, New England could finish anywhere between the first and fourth seed in the AFC. For explanations of all this week’s playoff scenarios, click here.

The biggest news for the Patriots is that tight end Rob Gronkowski will return to the lineup after missing the last five weeks with a broken left forearm. Gronkowski was injured while blocking in a kick formation late in Week 11. The extent to which he will play is not known, but the Patriots are expected to work Gronkowski back into the lineup to help him prepare for the playoffs.
