NFL inactives, Week 17: Raiders vs. Chargers

The NFL has required that the Raiders and Chargers play. Several players will not, though. The inactive list is a wonderful reprieve for some.

The Oakland Raiders and San Diego Chargers are playing for absolutely nothing. They are out of the playoffs and have been for some time, so they packed things up weeks ago. Unsurprisingly, that means both teams barely want to play today's game and anyone who is kind-of-a-little-bit-hurt-maybe is not playing. The IR lists are loaded up and there is a fun list of inactives.

For the Raiders, Carson Palmer takes a seat. This isn't new information -- the team said Terrelle Pryor would start on Thursday -- but it's still worth pointing out that they are without their starting quarterback. Also, Rolando McClain's odd saga continues, as he is inactive for his last game as a Raider.

On the other sideline, the Chargers are sitting a handful of guys, albeit none of their stars. Lucky them, they might win this super important game!

Raiders: Carson Palmer, Jeremy Stewart, Tyvon Branch, Rolando McClain, Mike Brisiel, Brandon Bair and Juron Criner

Chargers: Edwin Baker, Donald Butler, Greg Gatson, Ladarius Green, Gary Guyton, Stephen Schilling and Mike Willie
