Adrian Peterson asks ‘nine yards what?’

The Vikings running back wasn’t aware of just how close he was to the record books this week.

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson came up nine yards short in his quest to break Eric Dickerson's single-season rushing yards. Nine yards. When Fox sideline reporter Pam Oliver asked Peterson about the gap, it caught him by surprise.

“Nine yards, nine yards what?” Peterson asked Oliver.
