Redskins vs. Cowboys: With playoff spot on the line, Dallas and Washington tied at half

Alfred Morris’s 17-yard touchdown and Jason Witten’s touchdown reception have the Redskins and Cowboys tied at 7-7 at half on Sunday night.

Playing for the lone remaining playoff position, the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins are all knotted up at halftime of their Sunday night showdown, 7-7, from FedEx Field.

The winner of Sunday's NFC East showdown will claim the division title and will host the Seattle Seahawks next Sunday in the Wild Card round of the NFC playoffs. The loser will be eliminated from playoff contention.

But early on, neither team was able to capitalize on their possessions, with two Washington interceptions of Dallas quarterback Tony Romo and a missed field goal from the Redskins kept the game scoreless through the first quarter.

In the second quarter, Romo led the Cowboys down the field for the game's first score. Romo capped a 13-play, 89-yard drive with a 9-yard touchdown pass to tight end Jason Witten.

Washington responded later in the second quarter when Alfred Morris, who had already been one of the few impact performers on the night, rushed in from 17 yards out for the touchdown to tie the score. Morris has 92 yards and that one score in the first half, while Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III has 43 yards passing and 21 yards rushing.
