Many logically speculated that the Cleveland Browns' move to select Oklahoma State quarterback Brandon Weeden with the 22nd pick of the 2012 NFL Draft could signal the end of Colt McCoy's tenure with the team. ESPN's Adam Schefter doesn't believe McCoy is going anywhere, however, saying that as of Monday the Browns have no plans to deal the third-year quarterback.

It remains to be seen whether the Browns will stick to that plan. First-round draft picks usually don’t expect to ride the bench their rookie seasons, especially when they are already 28 years old. If McCoy does stick around, the ensuing quarterback battle in Cleveland would be among the most interesting training camp story lines anywhere in the NFL.
