The Green Bay Packers will be without tight end Jermichael Finley for a few days as he recovers from a concussion. Packers head coach Mike McCarthy confirmed to reporters on Friday that Finley suffered a "mild" concussion and will be out "a couple days" as he recovers.
Packers’ Jermichael Finley Out With A Concussion
Finley’s wife tweeted about the concussion and said it’s protocol to sit out a few days. “He’s going crazy because he feels amazing & wants to be out there with his team but he understands the precautionary measures.” (Note: The tweet has since been deleted because teams don’t like injury information out there.)
Finley is expected to have a big season as he comes off a career year with 767 yards receiving and eight touchdowns.
Concussions are especially concerning considering the emphasis the league has recently put on player health and safety. For now, this appears to be just a minor hiccup.
