Calvin Johnson Returns To Lions Practice

Superstar Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson returned to practice with the team on Tuesday. Johnson played the full practice with a splint on his left index finger after missing Monday's practice.

According to SB Nation Detroit, Lions head coach Jim Schwartz insisted that Johnson’s missed practice on Monday was not due to his finger injury, but was a scheduled day off. Regardless, Lions fans will be pleased to hear that Johnson is already back in action.

It was not all good news for the Lions at Tuesday's practice, however. SB Nation Detroit also reports that defensive tackle Nick Fairley was banged up during practice and was walking with a "heavy limp." The second-year player opted to finish practice with the limp, rather than retiring to the sidelines. Fairley missed a significant portion of playing time in his 2011 rookie season after breaking his foot in training camp.
