DeMarcus Ware will miss the Dallas Cowboys' preseason game on Saturday against the San Diego Chargers with a hamstring injury. Luckily for Ware and the Cowboys, the injury is considered very minor and Ware said that he would have played if it was a regular season game.
DeMarcus Ware’s Injury Will Keep Him Out Of Cowboys 2nd Preseason Game
Ware tweaked his hamstring in practice on Thursday and was limited in the Cowboys' walkthrough on Friday so it is no surprise that he will not play. Alex Albright is expected to play in Ware's place against the Chargers.
The Cowboys expect Ware to be back in practice next week and ready to play in their last two preseason games. That should give him plenty of time to get ready to go for the Cowboys' season opener on September 5 against the New York Giants.
The injuries are really piling up for the Cowboys, who could be without as many as 20 players on Saturday. Hamstrings have been especially bad in Dallas, with Miles Austin, Anthony Spencer, Lance Dunbar, Jason Hatcher and Matt Johnson all battling hamstring injuries.
