Greg Jennings Injury: Packers WR Returns To Practice

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Greg Jennings was back at practice with the first-team offense Sunday after missing time with a concussion, as Ty Dunne of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Jennings has sat out the past two-plus weeks with the head injury, but he’s shown steady improvement.

According to Dunne, the Packers expect to have Jennings back in the lineup for their third preseason game. Green Bay has been cautious with its top pass-catcher given the nature of the injury, but it doesn’t seem he’ll be impacted during the regular season.

Jennings, 28, suffered the concussion during a scrimmage on Aug. 3, and he didn’t return to the field until Sunday morning. After catching 67 passes for 949 yards and nine touchdowns in 13 games during a relative down year in 2011, he should be able to pass the 1,000-yard plateau again in 2012 if healthy.
