John Carlson is expected to miss the Minnesota Vikings' next preseason game, delaying his debut in Minneapolis yet another game as he recovers from a knee injury.
John Carlson Injury: Expected To Miss Vikings’ 3rd Preseason Game
There was originally speculation that he’d be able to return on Aug. 13, but the knee sprain is apparently more severe than initially thought. The tight end has already missed the Vikings’ first two preseason games and, according to the Pioneer Press, a third is on its way.
Tight end John Carlson (knee) did not practice Monday, Aug. 20, and is not expected to play in the Vikings' preseason game Friday, Aug. 24, against the Chargers.
The Vikings will have some depth chart issues if that's the case, as fellow tight end Kyle Rudolph underwent concussion tests following the team's second preseason game.
