After suffering a rib injury Monday night, the Philadelphia Eagles are not expecting to see quarterback Michael Vick for the remainder of the preseason. But the the signal caller isn't concerned about missing his team's season opener, Sept. 9, against the Cleveland Browns, a source has told Pro Football Talks' Mike Florio.
Michael Vick Injury: Eagles QB Has ‘No Concerns’ Being Ready For Week 1
Vick, who took a shot to the ribs in the middle of the first quarter of Monday night's 27-17 victory over the New England Patriots and never returned, had X-rays on his midsection after leaving the game. Luckily, the findings came back negative.
On Tuesday, the injury-prone quarterback is expected to have a MRI and CT scan done to determine if there’s any cartilage damage.
The Eagles have two more preseason games left on their exhibition schedule, the next being Friday night against the Cleveland Browns. Philly's final preseason contest, a game starters do not usually play in, is Aug. 30 against the New York Jets.
