Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick is on schedule to start in Sunday's season opener at the Cleveland Browns (1 p.m. ET on FOX), a report from Philadelphia Inquirer writer Zach Berman said Tuesday.
Michael Vick On Track To Return From Injury
Vick, who’s recovering from a rib injury he suffered in an Aug. 20 preseason game, took all the first-team reps Monday and said he felt all but healed.
“My arm felt fresh and my legs felt good,” Vick said. “I threw the ball really well, and I had a chance to make some throws that I haven’t made in a long time. It felt good to be back, and I’m extremely excited.”
On Sunday, Vick is expected to wear a custom-fitted Kevlar flak jacket to provide more protection to his ribs.
