NFL Injury Report: NFC North Escaped Week 1 Without Any Major Ailments

Charles Tillman’s lower leg injury was the only major ailment suffered by the teams in the NFC North in Week 1 action.

There were quite a few major injuries around the NFL during Week 1 of the regular season, but the teams in the NFC North emerged relatively unscathed following the first games that matter in the standings. The Minnesota Vikings didn't have any to report -- even Adrian Peterson showed he was healthy -- while the Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears all had rather minor injuries after the initial diagnosis.

Chicago cornerback Charles Tillman probably suffered the most impactful injury as he left the game early in the first half with what the team termed a "lower leg injury." More information is expected to be released on Monday, but Kelvin Hayden replaced the starter for the remainder of Sunday's win.

The Packers entered the game without starting running back James Starks, but won’t have to add much to the injury report this week as defensive end C.J. Wilson was the only player with a reported injury on Sunday as his groin caused him to miss some action.

Lions rookie cornerback Bill Bentley left the game with "concussion-like symptoms" and underwent the standard concussion tests, but the results won't be known until sometime Monday.

Minnesota didn’t report any injuries following its overtime victory.
