Rams end Seahawks’ luck with Week 4 win

Rams defensive end Robert Quinn was also showered with praise, after battling all day in the trenches.

The Seattle Seahawks lost 19-13 to the St. Louis Rams on Sunday, dropping them to 0-2 in the NFC West. It was second one-possession loss for the Seahawks this season and in both cases Seattle was driving in for the winning score, but came up just short.

While that style could work and might even get Seattle into playoff contention, there was a major element missing on Sunday.

The Rams improved to 2-2 on the season, while the Seahawks fell to 2-2.

Fantasy studs/duds

Sometimes, a field goal attempt is just a field goal attempt, but other times, it’s an opportunity for a punter to throw a touchdown pass.

Fantasy Take: This news mostly affects Jackson, who won’t catch a break by facing a depleted defensive line. Seattle is allowing just 58.7 yards per game on the ground. It’s hard to say what kind of affect that Carpenter could have today or in the future for an offensive line that has struggled with pass protection and penalties at times this season.

The Seahawks are on a two-game winning streak and are 2-1 on the season. The Rams are 1-2 and are coming off a loss.

The point total on the game currently sits at 38 1/2, a reflection of what many feel will be a relatively low-scoring and close game between the two teams.

Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET, with coverage on Fox.

Five out of seven pickers on CBSSports like Seattle, while two ESPN experts have taken St. Louis. Merril Hoge and Seth Wickersham -- who leads all ESPN and CBS experts with 30 wins -- went with the Rams.

Last season, Seattle won both meetings with St. Louis.
