The New England Patriots travel to play the Tennessee Titans in Week 1 at LP Field in Nashville, and to the surprise of absolutely nobody, New England is favored, giving five points to the home team.
NFL Odds Week 1: Patriots Vs. Titans
Despite opening the season at home, the Tennessee Titans enter Week 1 as five-point underdogs to the defending AFC champion Patriots.

Tom Brady and company are once again expected to be the class of the AFC East and perhaps the entire conference, while the Titans are trying to break in a second-year quarterback and first-year starter. Jake Locker got the starting job instead of Matt Hasselbeck, outplaying the veteran throughout the preseason. The Washington product looked impressive at times in limited play last year, which perhaps made head coach Mike Munchak's choice a little easier.
For the Patriots, the addition of wide receiver Brandon Lloyd on offense, along with the draft picks of Dont'a Hightower and Chandler Jones on the defensive side of the ball, should serve as fortifications to a team already bursting at the seams with talent. One area to watch for coach Bill Belichick, however, could be the offensive line, which has had major struggles in August.
