Larry Fitzgerald active on Sunday vs. 49ers

Despite pessimistic reports from early in the day, Larry Fitzgerald will be active for Week 6.

Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald is officially active for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Fitzgerald will be starting the 90th straight game in his career, though it’s unclear how much he will be able to play. He has been battling a hamstring injury for several weeks and was listed as questionable in this week’s injury report.

Early on Sunday morning, there were reports that the Cardinals had "bad vibes" about his availability and could sit him in advance of Thursday's game against the Seattle Seahawks, but he will indeed be suiting up.

Through five games, Fitzgerald has just 24 catches for 288 yards and three touchdowns. The hamstring injury hasn’t helped his production, but neither has the poor play of quarterback Carson Palmer. It’s possible that he may be on a limited snap count Sunday. The Cardinals don’t seem eager to risk his health with two games coming up in just five days.
