The 49ers season appears to be back on track, as they rolled past NFC West rival Arizona at home in Week 6.
49ers grind out a win over Cardinals, 32-20

Ezra ShawDespite leading most of the way, the 49ers only managed to cover an 11-point spread on a late field goal by Phil Dawson. Gambling isn’t fun kids, no matter what they tell you.

Bob Stanton-USA TODAY SportsCampbell lay on the field for several minutes in front of a quiet stadium after suffering the injury. He was put on a stretcher and carted off the field as players from both sides surrounded him. Later, reports said that he had numbness and tingling but was moving his extremities. There are no further details known about the severity of his injury. Doctors will perform further tests on him throughout the injury.
Losing Campbell for any stretch of time would be a crushing blow to Arizona’s defense. Before the injury, he was having another dominant performance in a losing effort for the Cardinals. On the season, he recorded 3.5 sacks, 18 tackles and a forced fumble. He has 31 sacks in the past five seasons with the Cardinals.

Ezra ShawFitzgerald active vs. 49ers

Christian PetersenFitzgerald will be starting the 90th straight game in his career, though it’s unclear how much he will be able to play. He has been battling a hamstring injury for several weeks and was listed as questionable in this week’s injury report.
Through five games, Fitzgerald has just 24 catches for 288 yards and three touchdowns. The hamstring injury hasn’t helped his production, but neither has the poor play of quarterback Carson Palmer. It’s possible that he may be on a limited snap count Sunday. The Cardinals don’t seem eager to risk his health with two games coming up in just five days.

Christian Petersen49ers vs. Cardinals preview

Ed Szczepanski-USA TODAY SportsIt should be a great matchup, so we’ll get to talk about both teams below:
Quarterback Colin Kaepernick hasn’t looked like such an elite quarterback through five games. He’s led San Francisco to the No. 31 passing offense in the league, and has thrown four interceptions to his six touchdowns. It’s not the end of the world, given that he’s only now nearing a full season’s worth of games as a starter, but it was a rough start to be sure.
