St. Louis Rams quarterback Sam Bradford has a surgery scheduled to repair his torn ACL, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

St. Louis was dealt a huge blow during its loss to the Panthers.
Bradford was injured in the fourth quarter of the Rams 30-15 loss to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, when he tried to scramble out of bounds. The former No. 1 overall pick had to be carted into the locker room and obviously did not return.
Ryan Van Bibber of Turf Show Times lays out what this injury could mean for Bradford going forward:
The good news is that ACL tears aren’t career-ending. But it does take some time. RGIII tore the ligaments in his knee in January, and was on the field for Week 1. He probably could have waited a few more weeks, arguably, but that gives you a good sense of the timeline for quarterbacks.
This is a brutal blow to both Bradford and St. Louis, who both were making strides this season. The Rams, at 3-4, are still in the mix for a playoff spot but now without Bradford will either turn to Kellen Clemens or a free agent quarterback. Bradford was having a very solid season, throwing for 1,687 yards and 14 touchdowns against only four interceptions.
St. Louis will not have much time to regroup, with the Seattle Seahawks on deck in a Monday night affair next week.
