Travis Benjamin injury: Browns return man leaves game
Benjamin injured his knee while returning a punt.
Benjamin, a one-time Pro Bowler, was injured while returning a punt late in the third quarter. After making a pair of men miss, he tried to spin out of a tackle around the 30-yard line and was hit on his knee. He could be seen writhing in pain on the ground after the hit.
The Browns are currently in the fourth quarter of an upset bid, losing 20-17.
Benajmin was named the Special Teams Player of the Week in Week 5 for his performance against the Buffalo Bills. In that game he had two big returns, including one for a touchdown.
He’s also listed as a receiver but is rarely used on offense. On the season, he has just 13 receptions for 105-yards.
