With the best record in the NFL and facing a team without its starting quarterback, you may think the Kansas City Chiefs are an obvious pick to improve to 9-0, even though they'll be going on the road to face the Bills. NFL experts aren't so sure.
Chiefs vs. Bills 2013 picks and predictions
Will the Chiefs remain perfect and improve to 9-0? The experts are split.
Three of Buffalo’s five losses have been by seven points or fewer and the Bills played Cincinnati and New England to the wire, both of which are 6-2. The eight NFL writers at CBS Sports are split on the game with Pete Prisco, Jason La Canfora, Will Brinson and Dave Richard picking the Bills. Josh Katzowitz, Ryan Wilson, Jamey Eisenberg and John Breech picked the Chiefs. Breech predicted a close game, with the Chiefs escaping by a 20-17 margin:
No team has scored more than 17 points on Kansas City this season, so the formula for picking Chiefs games is pretty simple for me: Do I think the other team is going to score more than 17 points? If the answer is yes, then I pick the other team. If the answer is no, then I pick the Chiefs.
Frank Schwab and Les Carpenter of Yahoo! Sports are both on Buffalo’s side, making it six writers in favor of the Bills and four picking the Chiefs. Four of six SB Nation writers picked Kansas City while Matt Ufford and Ryan Van Bibber picked the Bills. Combined that is eight writers picking the Bills and eight writers siding with the Chiefs.
