The Texans top pair of running backs are dealing with injuries. However, backup Ben Tate practiced on Wednesday despite having four broken ribs, according to the Houston Chronicle's John McClain. Starter Arian Foster remained out of practice, per McClain. The Pro Bowl running back was joined by starting guard Wade Smith and linebacker Daryl Sharpton on the sideline.

The Texans are dealing with injury woes at the running back position.


Foster suffered a hamstring injury in Week 8 against the Chiefs. He was able to rest during the Texans' bye week, but still has been hampered by the injury enough to avoid to practicing on it. Tate was expected to miss time with the broken ribs, but his ability to practice is a good sign. The Texans signed Deji Karim and Dennis Johnson to the active roster during the bye as well as promoted Ray Graham off of their practice squad.
The Texans face the Colts on Sunday Night Football in Week 9.
