Seahawks vs. Falcons 2013 results: Seattle wears down Atlanta for 33-10 win
This playoff rematch didn’t have nearly as much drama. The Seahawks blew away the Falcons on the road, 33-10.
The Seahawks got off to another slow start on the road in Atlanta. They drove to the red zone early thanks to tough runs by Marshawn Lynch, but had to settle for a field goal. The two teams then traded field goals going into the second quarter.
Seattle used some trickery to get its first touchdown of the day -- Russell Wilson took a flea flicker pitch from Lynch and threw a bomb to Jermaine Kearse to give the Seahawks a 13-3 lead. Seattle extended its lead further with an insane toe-tapping touchdown by Golden Tate. Seattle went into halftime with a commanding 23-3 point lead over the Falcons.
The Falcons got a consolation touchdown in the third quarter, but the Seahawks never came close to giving up their advantage. Lynch walked in on another score to give Seattle a 33-10 lead. The rest of the game was a mere formality, and Seattle got decisive revenge for last year’s playoff loss.
Fantasy studs and duds
Marshawn Lynch had one of his best games yet this season, piling up 145 yards and the touchdown on 24 carries. Meanwhile, Steven Jackson had yet another dud, getting just 11 yards on nine carries. Roddy White came back after missing three games, but was a non-factor with just one catch.
Injury report
Brandon Browner left the game with a groin injury and did not return.
Did they cover?
The Seahawks opened as four-point favorites, according to Oddsshark. They had no problem covering that spread.
