NFL picks and predictions, Week 11: Packers vs. Giants 2013

Aaron Rodgers is at least another week from returning to the Packers. In the meantime, experts expect Green Bay to suffer a third straight loss when the Packers face the Giants this Sunday.

The Green Bay Packers haven't much enjoyed life without Aaron Rodgers. They head into Sunday's game against the New York Giants having lost two straight games, during which Rodgers was on the field for less than a series. The Packers will once again send out Scott Tolzien as the starting quarterback, and though he played admirably during last week's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, NFL experts don't have much confidence in him this week.

At SB Nation, two out of six panel members picked the Packers to win. At ESPN, that ratio was two of 13, and at CBS only one of eight had faith in Green Bay on the road. At Yahoo!, both experts picked the Giants to win their fourth game in a row.

The prevailing opinions of NFL experts align with Vegas, where the Giants opened the week as 3-point favorites and have since moved to 6-point favorites on some sports books, according to Odds Shark. Hasty conclusion? Aaron Rodgers is pretty darn good, and he’ll need to get healthy quickly if the Packers are going to make the playoffs and go on a Super Bowl run.
