Are we sure Josh Gordon plays for the Cleveland Browns? The second-year wide receiver is an island of excellence in a brown sea of incompetency. For the second week in a row, Gordon topped 200 yards, the only wide receiver in NFL history with back-to-back games of 200-plus receiving yards. He broke his own franchise record set last week.
Josh Gordon breaks his own franchise receiving record
The Browns don’t have much to be happy about, but at least they still have Josh Gordon.
With four minutes left in the game, Gordon caught a deep pass from Brandon Weeden for a 95-yard touchdown. That gave the Browns wideout 10 catches, 261 yards and a pair of touchdowns on the day. That tops his franchise record of 237 yards set last week against the Steelers.
Gordon caught 14 passes in that game, tying Ozzie Newsome’s franchise record for the most catches in a game. Breaking long-held team records apparently didn’t sit well with long-suffering Cleveland fans.
