John GrieshopNewman left during the fourth quarter of the Bengals’ Week 14 win over Colts. He was seen on crutches after the game and head coach Marvin Lewis acknowledged the knee was “a little sore.”
Newman, an 11-year veteran and two-time Pro Bowl selection, has started all 13 games this season for Cincinnati, picking off a pair of passes and knocking down 14.

On fourth-and-goal from the one-yard line late in the second quarter, Green-Ellis was ruled down by contact after he bounced into the end zone. The play was reviewed, but replay seemed to show a defender’s hand tripping up Green-Ellis by the foot and supporting the initial call. Triplette, however, determined Green-Ellis had not been contacted and overturned the call on the field, awarding the Bengals a touchdown and a 14-0 lead.

Christian PetersenAs for himself, Richardson said that he has struggled to acclimate to offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton’s offense. Richardson said that he is thinking too hard on the field instead of relying on his instincts, and he is playing slower as a result.
Whether Richardson becomes the player many expected him to be remains to be seen. Running backs tend to burn bright then fizzle quickly, and the fact that Richardson’s NFL career has begun with a flicker may not bode well for his future. Three months into his tenure with the Colts, he doesn’t look like an NFL starter just yet.

Bengals chalk, computer says they beat Colts by 5

Ranking fifth in the NFL in scoring defense (18 points per game) and sixth in total defense (314.8 yards per game), the Cincinnati Bengals have had a consistently strong season with a 7-4-1 ATS record to go along with their 8-4 SU record.

That’s Ryan Van Bibber, Jason Chilton, Stephen White, David Fucillo and Matt Ufford in favor of the Bengals. Only Joel Thorman thinks the Colts will score the tough road win.
It’s even more clear over at CBS Sports. All eight of their experts, which includes Pete Prisco, Jason La Canfora and Will Brinson, among others, believe that the Bengals will win this one outright.
