Jacksonville Jaguars running back Maurice Jones-Drew left the game on Thursday night against the Houston Texans with an apparent hamstring injury. He will not return, the team announced.

Jones-Drew ran for a first down with over ten minutes remaining in the fourth quarter and immediately looked pained following the tackle. He was able to leave the field under his own power, but after two plays of being looked at by team trainers Jones-Drew left the field for further evaluation.

The Jaguars will turn to backup running back Jordan Todman. He has limited success prior to Jones-Drew's injury, running for 12 yards on three carries. Jacksonville will need to mitigate the drop in production and attempt to stay in a close game where a lead that was once 14 points has been whittled down to four after the Texans replaced Case Keenum with Matt Schaub at quarterback,

Jones-Drew was having his best game of the season prior to the injury, running the ball 14 times for 103 yards. He is in the final year of his contract.
