Free agent tight end Dustin Keller will visit with the Miami Dolphins on Wednesday, according to a tweet from ESPN's Adam Schefter. Keller is considered one of the top tight ends available on the free agent market, and his addition would be another boost for a Miami squad that has already made a splash in free agency this year.
NFL free agency rumors: Dustin Keller will visit Dolphins on Wednesday
It seems like the Dolphins aren’t yet finished making moves as they’ll host the former Jet tight end on Wednesday.
Keller caught only 28 passes for 317 yards and two touchdowns in 2012, all of which matched or surpassed career lows. However, much of that can be attributed to the mess the Jets had at the quarterback position. The Dolphins have already added wide receiver Mike Wallace, considered by many to be the top receiver on the market, and adding Keller to the mix would give Ryan Tannehill a very nice security blanket.
However, the Dolphins aren't the only team pursuing Keller. The Tennessee Titans are also said to be interested, especially now that they lost Jared Cook to the St. Louis Rams.
