The free agent cornerback is visiting with the Panthers on Wednesday, and is scheduled to take a physical with the team.
The Panthers could use a boost in the secondary, which has gotten thinner after the retirement of Chris Gamble. Of the remaining cornerbacks on the roster, none have more than three years of experience, so Florence could add a nice and stabilizing veteran presence to the defensive backfield if he does sign with Carolina.
