NFL free agency: Titans re-sign FB Quinn Johnson

Tennessee kept one of its own in house with the re-signing of Quinn Johnson.

The Tennessee Titans made a quiet move on Wednesday morning, bringing fullback Quinn Johnson back into the fold on a two-year deal, according to The Tennessean.

Johnson led the way for star running back Chris Johnson last year, helping the former 2,000-yard man regain his past glory. Quinn Johnson didn’t provide much statistically, with only four carries for a grand total of five yards and five receptions for 40 yards.

Tennessee has been very active thus far in free agency. After letting tight end Jared Cook go walking to join Jeff Fisher and the St. Louis Rams, the Titans stepped up and took guard Andy Levitre and tight end Delanie Walker off the market.

Levitre was given a massive $46.8 million contract while Walker was brought in as one of the smarter moves made by any team. Walker will give Tennessee great special teams play along with having good hands and blocking ability.
