Tony Gonzalez is returning to the Atlanta Falcons and he's doing it for a pretty penny, too. The tight end will earn $7 million guaranteed from the Falcons as part of a two-year deal, but that second year is likely just for cap purposes.
Tony Gonzalez contract: Tight end’s 2-year deal worth $14 million, according to report
Tony Gonzalez is officially coming back for another season after agreeing to a two-year deal with the Falcons.
Tony Gonzalez contract was 2-years, $14 million with $7 million guaranteed. Cap number for 2013 = $5.25 million

One of the rumored demands Gonzalez had if he was going to come back was reduced camp appearances. It is unclear if that was actually a demand and if he got it, but it would make sense for the 37-year-old.
Gonzalez considered retirement after the 2012 season and comments after the Falcons’ NFC Championship Game loss hinted that he was leaning towards walking away from the game. But Atlanta kept the door open for a return. On Wednesday he told his agent to begin negotiating a contract and tweeted that he would be returning for the 2013 season.
A sure-fire future Hall of Famer, Gonzalez holds NFL records for career receptions, receiving yards and receiving touchdowns by a tight end. Gonzalez didn’t slow down in 2012, despite being 36 years old, either. He reeled in 93 catches for 930 yards and eight touchdowns in yet another great season.
