The St. Louis Rams had offensive lineman Jake Long in for a visit on Wednesday and Thursday, but were never able to come to an agreement with the former No. 1 overall pick.
Jake Long rumors: Rams contract hold up about money, not medical
St. Louis never made a deal with Jake Long, but it may not be because of health concerns.

Many thought it was because of a physical that was reportedly anything but routine, but according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch, it was about the money.
Supposedly, Long was asking for somewhere between $10 and $11 million per season on a multi-year deal.
After a marathon visit, rumor has it that the Rams just weren’t able to meet Long’s financial demands, ultimately letting him walk out of the team headquarters to shop his service a bit more.
The Miami Dolphins are now considered to be the frontrunner for his services, the only team Long has ever played for. It will be interesting to see in the coming days and weeks how Long's situation plays out. The Dolphins have already spent a ton of their cap space on other players, and the Rams still need a left tackle and have money to burn.
Stay tuned on this one.
