The Miami Dolphins have been on a spending spree, signing everyone from wide receiver Mike Wallace and linebacker Dannell Ellerbe.
Dolphins rumors: If Miami missed on Jake Long, they could target Eric Winston
Miami needs to bolster its offensive line and has a couple of options.
Now, the team needs to turn its attention to the offensive line. Jake Long is still available to be brought back after not agreeing to a contract with the St. Louis Rams. If the Dolphins can't retain Long, another option is ex-Kansas City Chiefs tackle Eric Winston, according to the Palm Beach Post.
Winston plays right tackle, so he isn’t a perfect fit for what Miami is looking for. He also had a down season with Kansas City, making a few experts wonder whether he is still elite for his position.
Long is easily the better player out of the two, but he comes with some health concerns. The former No. 1 overall pick has had a ton of issues including back, shoulder, knee and arm injuries that have sidelined him.
