The Baltimore Ravens have been losing important players left and right since the beginning of the offseason. Free agent safety Ed Reed could be the next man to take off for greener pastures, a decision that general manager Ozzie Newsome expects shortly, according to USA Today.
Ed Reed rumors: Ravens GM Ozzie Newsome expects decision within a week
Baltimore is waiting to hear from Ed Reed, who just got back from visiting with the Texans.
Reed spent two days with the Houston Texans earlier in the week, but wasn't able to come to an agreement. Now, nobody is quite sure where the future first-ballot Hall of Famer will end up, and he might even return to the Super Bowl champions.
At 34 years old, Reed won’t be looking for a long term deal worth a ton of guaranteed money. It’s likely Reed gets somewhere in the neighborhood of a two or three-year contract on its face, but in reality only a year of guaranteed funds.
With all the other players who have exited Baltimore this offseason, Reed becomes that more important to keep around.
