The top names left on the free agent market are taking their time to weigh their options at this point. With the signing frenzy subsiding from last week’s official opening, the news is a little slower at this point.
NFL free agent news: Brandon Myers to New York
Free agency action slowed down after the initial outburst of transactions, but teams are still working to add depth. Here’s a rundown of the news from the weekend.

Several teams made moves over the weekend to add a little more depth and experience to the roster. Take a look at who was on the move recently.
Myers is coming off a breakout campaign with the Raiders after catching 79 passes in his fourth NFL season. Martellus Bennett signing with the Bears forced the Giants to find a new weapon at tight end. Myers will be a solid contributor for Eli Manning.
Svitek missed the all of last season with an upper arm injury he suffered in practice. The former Atlanta Falcon started 10 games at left tackle in 2011, and could be in the mix for more playing time if the Patriots lose Sebastian Vollmer to free agency.
The Rams released Dahl after he started all 16 games for St. Louis in 2012. He likely won't be Dashon Goldson's successor, given the fact that Pro Football Focus rated him as one of the worst safeties last season. He simply adds depth to the roster.
Burnett was released by the Dolphins in preparation for Miami signing Philip Wheeler, so now the two linebackers have traded places. After playing every game over the past three seasons, Burnett will be reliable addition for Oakland's defense. He recorded 109 total tackles last year.
Roby is a solid contributor on special teams. Seeing that he caught one pass for nine yards in 2012, you probably don’t have to worry about him threatening opposing defenses too often.
Nothing flashy here. Folk made 21 of 27 field goals last year for the Jets, and he will return for his fourth straight season with the franchise.
