In their quest to add another weapon for Andrew Luck, the Indianapolis Colts are now taking a look at Darrius-Heyward-Bey. The former Oakland Raiders wideout is expected to meet with the team as early as today, according to Adam Schefter.

The Colts need to add another wide receiver to the roster. Is Darrius Heyward-Bey a good fit in Indianapolis?
Jim Irsay let the Twitter world know the Colts were fighting to add another wide receiver last week, but he didn’t name any particular candidate for the job. Could Heyward-Bey be the missing link here?
According to his tweets, Irsay claimed Indianapolis was trying to land a “wopper” (see: whopper), so DHB doesn’t exactly fit the bill. He was drafted purely based on his speed, as his blazing 40 time caught the eye of the late Al Davis. Unfortunately, Heyward-Bey hasn’t developed into the No. 1 wideout some were hoping he would become.
The Colts currently have Reggie Wayne and T.Y. Hilton topping their depth chart. With Wayne reaching the end of his playing days, Luck is going to need another reliable target in the passing game sometime soon. Heyward-Bey can add depth, but he won’t be taking over as the No. 1 receiver in the offense.
Hilton’s speed is close to DHB’s level, so he could be a major game-changer here. Look for the Colts to address receiver in the draft, unless Irsay really does have a blockbuster trade up his sleeve.
