The trade market for Seattle Seahawks quarterback Matt Flynn is heating up, with multiple teams potentially interested in getting a deal done. The Jacksonville Jaguars are identified by Jason La Canfora of CBS Sports to be the most likely destination for the 27-year-old quarterback, given the team's big needs at the position.
Matt Flynn trade rumors: Seahawks could deal QB
The Seattle Seahawks could be getting closer to a trade that would send quarterback Matt Flynn to a QB-needy team in exchange for some draft picks.

Jacksonville's starter is Blaine Gabbert, and they have Chad Henne to back him up/push him for the starting job. Neither player inspires much confidence though, as Henne has failed in previous starting opportunities, while Gabbert looks more like a bust than a young, promising quarterback.
Flynn shined during his few opportunities behind Aaron Rodgers on the Green Bay Packers, and he eventually received a big contract from the Seahawks. Flynn was the favorite to beat out starter Tarvaris Jackson, but the Seahawks had other plans, drafting quarterback Russell Wilson in the third round. Wilson subsequently won the starting job and led the Seahawks to an 11-5 record and a playoff victory.
Needless to say, Flynn won’t be starting for the Seahawks unless Wilson suffers some kind of injury. That said, the Seahawks have been clear in the past that they believe they can hold on to Flynn, given the relatively low contract numbers for Wilson, a second-year player, and the fact that releasing Flynn would only save the Seahawks approximately $1.25 million in cap space.
It's unlikely that the Seahawks are able to get much in the way of draft picks for Flynn, but if one of the other teams mentioned by La Canfora, the Oakland Raiders and Buffalo Bills, turn out to be reasonably interested, there could be a bidding war. It only takes two interested parties for Flynn's price to skyrocket, and that's what the Seahawks are probably hoping for at this point.
The Raiders could be interested in Flynn because Carson Palmer is getting up there in years and has a significant contract attached to him. Buffalo has been searching for an answer at quarterback for some time, and they recently gave up on Ryan Fitzpatrick as their starter, so the interest on their part is definitely there.
