NFL free agent tracker: Bengals host Kerry Rhodes, Karlos Dansby

Cincinnati has plenty of cap space and is potentially looking to use some on a few defensive players.

This week, the Cincinnati Bengals hosted two free agents, linebacker Karlos Dansby and safety Kerry Rhodes, according to Adam Schefter.

The Bengals have approximately $27 million in cap space, the fourth most of any team in the NFL, per overthecap.com.

Cincinnati can use an inside linebacker like Dansby after letting Rey Maulauga walk out the door as a free agent. Dansby has been a playmaker for years going back to his days with the Arizona Cardinals. In 2012, Dansby eclipsed 100 tackles for the second time in his career, notching a career-high 134.

At 31 years old, Dansby is getting ancient by NFL standards but can clearly still play at a high level and would fit well behind the underrated defensive tackle Geno Atkins.

Rhodes has been a solid safety for his entire eight-year career, amassing 23 interceptions. In his last three seasons with the Cardinals, Rhodes has come up with eight interceptions, showing off his ball-hawking prowess.
