Linebacker James Harrison will be meeting with the Cincinnati Bengals on Thursday, according to USA Today Sports. Harrison was cut by the Steelers last month after the team sought to renegotiate and lower his salary. It appears that Harrison is looking specifically to land in the AFC North for the chance to face his former team. USA Today adds that he recently made an attempt to visit with the Ravens before the team signed Elvis Dumervil.

Harrison had been with the Steelers since 2002 after Pittsburgh signed him as an undrafted free agent. The linebacker made his way into the lineup by 2004, when he made four starts. Harrison was a regular starter by 2007 and quickly became one of the most dominant pass-rushing linebackers in the league.

The hard-hitting Harrison set a career high with 16.5 sacks in 2008, and reached double digits again in the next two years. The past two seasons have been marred by injury for Harrison. He has missed eight games over that span.
