The Pittsburgh Steelers are hosting free agent running back Larod Stephens-Howling for a visit, according to Ed Bouchette.

Pittsburgh lost Rashard Mendenhall to Arizona and now is looking to take a Cardinals player for themselves.
Pittsburgh is in the market for a running back after losing Rashard Mendenhall to the Arizona Cardinals via free agency. Ironically, Stephens-Howling is an ex-Cardinal. Stephens-Howling brings a different dynamic because he's also a return man.
Last year, Stephens-Howling gained 405 yards on kickoff returns and 357 yards as a running back on 111 carries. He also caught the ball 17 times for 106 yards.
At this point, Stephens-Howling is a return man and a change-of-pace back more than anything else. Jonathan Dwyer would need to be considered as the top back on the Steelers even if Stephens-Howling is brought in.
Running back could also be addressed by the Steelers in the second and third rounds, where many of the top backs are expected to be taken off the board later this month.
