Felix Jones rumors: Bengals work out former Cowboys RB
The Bengals brought in Felix Jones for a workout on Monday. The former Cowboys running back could be valuable complement to BenJarvus Green-Ellis.
Jones was drafted by the Cowboys in the first round of the 2008 NFL Draft, and has shined when healthy, averaging 4.8 yards per carry over a five-year span. He missed 16 games over that span with various ailments, however. Jones did not miss a game last season, but he also ran for a career-low 3.6 yards per carry on his way to just 402 yards rushing on the season.
While Jones fell out of favor in Dallas, he still has a valuable skillset. Jones was drafted for his electric speed and athletic ability, and proved to be a valuable receiver out of the offensive backfield with the Cowboys, averaging 8.6 yards per reception during his stint. He is also just 25 years old and should come with a relatively low price tag.
