Patriots reportedly told Aaron Hernandez to stay away from Gillette Stadium

Hernandez wasn’t allowed to stay for long at the team’s facilities, according to a report.

When New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez showed up at Gillette Stadium on Thursday, team staff were waiting and told him to leave the facility, according to sources in a report from the Boston Herald on Friday.

In the Herald report, team spokesman Stacey James said he didn’t know why Hernandez would go to the Patriots’ home field anyway, adding, “No coaches are here,” before declining to say anything else on the matter.

As of Friday morning, an arrest warrant has reportedly been issued for Hernandez on charges of obstruction of justice relating to the suspected murder of Odin Lloyd. Since it remains an ongoing investigation, more charges could be brought against Hernandez.

After issuing another search warrant for the tight end’s Massachusetts home, police found that Hernandez had destroyed his home security and video surveillance system. ABC News also reported that Hernandez turned his cell phone over to investigators in shattered pieces. Additionally, police are investigating Hernandez’s hiring of a house cleaning service on Monday.
