Aaron Hernandez investigation: Police search waters near home

Police are searching the waters near Aaron Hernandez’s home, though what exactly they’re searching for is unclear.

Police are investigating the waters near the home of Aaron Hernandez, according to ESPN and NFL Network announcer Rich Hollenberg. It is unclear what exactly the police are looking for, but they reportedly have metal detectors. Per Hollenberg, they will be taking their time:

Hernandez is fully embroiled in a homicide investigation into the death of Odin Lloyd, a semi-pro football player in Boston with strong personal ties to the New England Patriots tight end. Police have already searched Hernandez's house twice, and a warrant has been prepared for his arrest.

If you are behind on the news, SB Nation has a StoryStream up with every update from the bizarre story. Hernandez has already lost at least one endorsement deal and has been told to by the Patriots to stay away from Gillette Stadium. What happens next is anyone’s guess, but it looks like things will get worse for Hernandez before they get better.
