Police told reporters that they found no evidence on Monday after searching a pond and the heavily wooded areas around the home of New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez, according to USA Today's Kevin Manahan.

Massachusetts State Police continue to look for evidence in and around the home of the Patriots tight end in relation to the death of Odin Lloyd. The latest search appears to have come up empty.
Two policemen in wetsuits searched the pond for any submerged evidence, while others used metal detectors in the nearby foliage to hopefully find anything in relation to their investigation into the death of 27-year-old Odin Lloyd, whose body was found near Hernandez’s home on June 17.
Police are treating the death as a homicide, but have not charged anyone at this time.
A team of investigators and two police dogs searched Hernandez’s home on Saturday for nearly four hours. Police removed several bags of evidence following that search. Authorities have executed several search warrants since Lloyd’s body was discovered last Monday. No charges have been filed in the Lloyd case at this point.
