Aaron Hernandez trial: Alleged accomplice held without bail
One of the men allegedly involved in the murder of Odin Lloyd was ordered to be held without bail at a hearing on Monday.
Ernest Wallace pleaded not guilty to an accessory to murder charge on Monday, but was denied bail. Prosecutors said Wallace and another man were with Hernandez when Lloyd was shot and killed last month. Hernandez allegedly orchestrated the murder, but prosecutors have not said which man shot Lloyd. Wallace is scheduled to be back in court on July 22.
Monday’s hearing came a few days after police found additional evidence which could tie Hernandez and others to the murder. Police found ammunition and clothing which may match those used and worn the night of the murder at a previously unknown apartment leased by Hernandez. Carlos Ortiz, the third man allegedly involved in the murder, tipped police off about the apartment, according to a report from the Boston Globe.
