Miami Dolphins tight end Dustin Keller is out for the season with a knee injury, according to FOX Sports' Alex Marvez. The Dolphins haven't confirmed what kind of injury he has, but ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that it's a torn ACL, MCL, PCL and a dislocated knee cap for the tight end.

Keller suffered the injury in Saturday's preseason game against the Houston Texans. His knee bent back awkwardly while being tackled by safety D.J. Swearinger and he was carted off the field.
Keller signed a one-year deal with the Dolphins in the offseason, hoping to gain value in the open market after a hamstring injury limited him to eight games last season. His best season came in 2011, when he recorded 65 receptions for 815 yards and five touchdowns.
With Keller out, the Dolphins' tight end position is in a lurch. Charles Clay, Dion Sims and Michael Egnew are the next men up on the depth chart and will be looking to step up in the final two preseason games.
