Denver Broncos outside linebacker Von Miller is going to be suspended for a minimum of six games for violating the NFL's substance abuse policy, according to ESPN's Chris Mortensen. He also explains Miller is still hoping for four games, but it isn't looking good.

The Broncos already have questions on the defensive side of the ball after losing their other primary pass rusher in Elvis Dumervil thanks to a fax machine. Miller is the only proven pass rushing threat for the Broncos, and as one of the NFL's best, he's a game-changer for a team expected to make a Super Bowl run. Now the Broncos have to hope young talents like Derek Wolfe develop quickly.
Last season, the Texas A&M product led the Broncos with 18.5 sacks, ranking him only behind J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans and Aldon Smith of the San Francisco 49ers. Dumervil finished tied for 14th in the league with 11.
Miller has never been suspended by the league before but has failed drug tests in the past. Last week, Miller was arrested for failing to appear in court on charges of careless driving, driving without proof of insurance and driving without a license back in October.
