Von Miller cited for driving with a suspended license, speeding, per report

The Arapahoe County sheriff told a Denver area TV station Miller was stopped by law enforcement officials last week.

More legal troubles for suspended Denver Broncos linebacker Von Miller came to light on Tuesday when Denver's CBS4 learned Miller was cited for both speeding and driving with a suspended license in Arapahoe County, Colo., last week.

Arapahoe County sheriff Grayson Robinson told the station Miller was not jailed, but was not allowed to continue driving his car after a sheriff’s deputy pulled him over and learned of the suspended license. Miller’s father was in the car and drove from there, the station reported.

This is the second time Miller has been cited while driving an automobile without a license, as court records show a citation stemming from an alleged careless driving incident in Arapahoe County. Miller was allegedly unable to show proof of insurance at that time, according to the Denver Post. Miller was then arrested in August for failure to appear in court to answer for those charges and now has an October date set.

The former Pro Bowler has also been in trouble with the NFL this year after submitting a diluted urine sample for testing, leading the NFL to suspend him for the first six games of the season. Beyond the lost game checks, that will cost Miller $1.25 million in bonus money.
