    Johnson has been with the Cardinals since 2009 and has been a key special teams player and spot starter for Arizona. He was a third-round pick by the franchise and was re-signed to a three-year deal this offseason.

    The Cardinals will travel to Tampa Bay in Week 4 to take on the Buccaneers at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.

    Cardinals safety lost finger in loss

    Somers reports that when Johnson took his glove off, his finger remained inside. Doctors shaved bone on Johnson’s left middle finger to repair it, but the safety is reportedly missing everything above his first knuckle. Even more amazing, however, is that Johnson returned to the game after such a gruesome injury. Dan Wetzel says it well:

    It is unclear how long Johnson will be out because of this, although right now it is more about getting back to feeling normal after losing part of his finger.

    Williams’ father was driving from Memphis to New Orleans so he could see his son play this weekend. The accident occurred near Jackson, Miss., killing Williams’ father while injuring his mother and sister.

    Williams’ mother and sister are expected to recover from their injuries.

    Mendenhall had only 66 yards at the end of the game, but he made good use of the touches he had to get those yards. Mendenhall averaged 4.4 yards per carry, the third highest by a Cardinals rusher with at least 15 touches since the beginning of last season.
