Despite losing the tip of his finger on Sunday, Cardinals safety Rashad Johnson could be ready to play in Week 4, according to Arizona general manager Steve Keim.

Cardinals safety Rashad Johnson may play against the Buccaneers on Sunday.
The veteran safety suffered the bizarre and grotesque injury during Week 3's matchup against the Saints. During the game, part of Johnson's left middle finger was cut off and he was required to have surgery on Sunday. Doctors had to shave his finger down to the first knuckle on the finger. The injury could be a "day-to-day situation" and Johnson could line up against the Buccaneers just one week after surgery, Darren Urban of azcardinals.com reported.
Johnson has been with the Cardinals since 2009 and has been a key special teams player and spot starter for Arizona. He was a third-round pick by the franchise and was re-signed to a three-year deal this offseason.
The Cardinals will travel to Tampa Bay in Week 4 to take on the Buccaneers at 1 p.m. ET on Sunday.
