With the NFL branching out to London, the idea of a Steelers and Vikings matchup a few weeks ago looked like one of the best on paper. Right now, it is too late to change the schedule as the NFL sends two winless teams over to Wembley Stadium for Week 4.
Steelers vs. Vikings 2013, NFL picks Week 4: Two winless teams head to London
A matchup that seemed much more exciting three weeks ago now features the only game in Week 4 between two winless teams.
Overall, the majority of experts polled favor the Pittsburgh Steelers picking up their first win after getting the worst start to a season since 2000. Josh Katzowitz is the only CBS Sports contributor who thinks the Vikings have a chance, with the Steelers nearly running the table over at CBS Sports.
Not everyone has the steel curtain mentality of CBS Sports, however. The football gurus at SB Nation are split down the middle with the Steelers picked to win by three of five contributors. ESPN also favors the land of 1,000 lakes a bit more, but not by much. Eight out of 13 writers picked the Steelers to win, but the compilation of votes from the ESPN Pigskin Pick ‘Em favors the Vikings.
So, according to a bunch of people, the Steelers are traveling a long ways to pick up their very first win of the season and avoid becoming the first team to start the season 0-4 in 45 years.
